Verna M Lute

Verna M Lute, age 60 of Howard, OH passed away November 29, 2025, at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born October 30, 1965, to the late Dale and Daisy (Chesser) Canter in Nelsonville, OH. Verna married Michael W Lute August 3, 2012.

Verna is survived by her husband, children: Dustin (Sunshine) Canter, Mary Elizabeth Canter, Chelsie (Jerry) McDaniel, and Madison (Eric Webber) Canter, step children: Derrick lute, Haley Lute, and Courtney Risner, 12 grandchildren, and sisters: Cindy (Randy) Pyle, Tracie (Dan) Forsyth, and Norma (Dustin Wheeler) White. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Richard Canter, Dale "Dink" Canter, and Emily Canter.

Verna worked as a school janitor and Manager of the Red Rover gas station in Apple Valley, Howard, OH. She enjoyed fishing, music, sprint car races, camping, lottery scratchoffs, Bingo and Yahtzee.
