Tammy Joy Savage

Tammy Joy Savage of Bucyrus passed away Saturday September 5, 2026, at The James Cancer Hospital at OSU, after a 6 month battle with cancer. Tammy was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 10, 1962, to the late Lloyd Hover and Betty (Cooper) Hover. Tammy was married October 24, 2003, to David Savage who survives along with 5 children; Jimmy (Stephine) Byers Jr, Kiara (Zach) Meyers, Shawn Savage, Elisha Savage, and Tamala (Justin) Clark; numerous grandchildren and brother Dan Hover. Tammy will be missed by her family and best friend CJ. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded by brothers Lloyd “Bud” Jr., David Hover and three grandchildren.

Tammy graduated from Galion High School and attended The Ohio State University. Tammy worked at Swan Rubber for many years and also was the kitchen manager at Planet 14 in Galion. Tammy loved spending time outdoors hiking, bike riding, fishing, building derby cars with David and taking trips.
