Sherry Lynn Young

Sherry “Shey” Lynn Young, age 53, passed away May 1, 2026, at Presidential Post Acute of Marion. Shey was born to the late Larry E. Clarkson Sr. and Patricia “Pat” (Staup) Clarkson February 20, 1973, in Galion, Ohio. Shey was preceded in death by her parents, half-brother, Mike Keckler; half-sister, Angela Clarkson.

Sherry is survived by children, Samantha (Cameron) Morrison and Tyler Waldbauer; brother, Larry E. (Barbara) Clarkson Jr.; sister, Brenda (William) Russell; half-brother, Robert Keckler; grandchildren, Miah and Isabelle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Shey graduated from Wynford High School class of 1991. She loved spending time with her family, going to play bingo, finding good deals at garage sales, drawing, and writing poetry. When Shey would watch sports, she was rooting for the Chicago Bears and the Michigan Wolverines football teams. She was an avid reader, in her younger years she would take camping trips with the family, and go on nature hikes. She loved her family very much and will be missed by all that knew her.
