Sharon Lynn Garverick

Sharon Lynn Garverick, age 71 of Mt. Gilead, Ohio passed away on Monday July 13, 2026, at home following a two-month illness. Sharon was born January 3, 1955, in Marion, OH to the late Richard and Ruby (Banks) Knickle. She was married February 21, 1992, to Bryan Garverick who survives. Sharon is also survived by children Jon (Shelia) Shaffer, Derrick (Jenn) Shaffer, Erick Shaffer, and Samantha (Sam) Bates; grandchildren Brandon, Adrian, Isiah, David, Tyler, Lucas, Cameron, Savannah, Liam, and Teigen; great grandchildren Sunshine and Jamison; siblings Deann (Jon) Balintine, Linda Laufer, Dan (Amy) Knickle, Dale (Tammy) Knickle, and Tim Knickle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Denise Knickle and brother-in-law Jim Laufer.

Sharon grew up in Prospect, OH and graduated from High School in 1975. She worked at Flexible Bus Factory in Delaware for several years and worked for some time with her husband Bryan. Sharon was a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and quilting. Most of all Sharon loved her children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service is being planned for a later date to be announced. A dinner will be served on August 9, 2026, at the Mount Gilead VFW, 4960 State Route 61 Mount Gilead, OH 43338, beginning at 2pm.
