Russell K Gorrell

Russell K. Gorrell, age 86, passed away November 4, 2025, at Kingston of Marion. Russell was born to the late William Russell Gorrell and Genevieve Ruth (Seigfreid) Gorrell February 28, 1939, in Marion, Ohio. Russell is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa Carpenter; sisters, Nancy Renchler, Mary Jane Blevins, and Peggy Postell; brother, Lester Gorrell

Russell is survived by daughters Lynne Daniels, Paula (Alan) Batteiger, and Terri Lore; grandchildren Tasha Gorrell, Jessica (David) Adams, and Elizabeth (Tyler) Ramage; great grandchildren Trever Gorrell, Brianna and Masin Ackerman, Alexis Scribner, Chelsea Gorrell, Ethan Adams, and Cade and Caroline Ramage; great-great grandchildren Tegan and Cambree Gorrell, and Aylaya Hanshaw.

Russell served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Marion Harding High School. Russell worked for 20 years with GE Superabrasives where he eventually retired. He was a member of the Moose of Marion, Eagles of Delaware, and the American Legion. For many years, Russell had a boat and trailer at Shady Shores in Lake Erie; he went fishing and boating there for many years with friends and family. He enjoyed visiting with friends, roller skating, and taking vacations to Florida and Virginia. Russell was an avid golfer and always loved cracking a joke.
