Ronald W. Boles, 85 of Lakeview, Ohio passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Ronald was born on March 25, 1940, in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl and Mabel (McCarly) Boles. He was married July 30, 1961, to Gloria (Prettyman) Boles who survives. In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by son Bryan (Shannon) Boles Sr. of New Bloomington; grandchildren Amy Boles Owens, Johnathon Boles, Kari (Steven) Boles McDorman, Bryan Lee (Megan) Boles Jr. and Cody (Kaitlyn) Boles; great grandchildren Grace and Madison McDorman, and Charlotte Boles; as well as one brother Marvin Boles of Florida and his companion dogs Maggie and Mercedes. Ronald was preceded in death by son Bradley W. Boles and three brothers Henry, Harley, and Roger.

Ronald graduated from New Bloomington High School in 1958 and retired from Whirlpool in 2000 after 42 years. He moved from LaRue to Lakeview in 2014.

Ronald loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed trap shooting and hunting deer, coyote, and fox. He was a former member of the NRA and the OSTA. Ron was also formerly a member of the Eagles in Indian Lake and currently was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533. In his earlier years Ron coached little league baseball in New Bloomington and played softball for Whirlpool. He was a cardplayer, mostly euchre and poker, and loved being with his grandkids.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in March with a time a place to be announced. The staff of Affordable Cremation and Funeral Services is assisting the family with arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.cremationservicesofohio.com.
