Richard D Adams

Richard D. “Buzz” Adams, 89 of Cardington, OH passed away on Friday November 10, 2023 at Marion General Hospital following a brief illness. Richard was born January 16, 1934 in Alledonia, OH to the late Everett Adams and Birdie (Lucas) Mosher. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ann (Criswell) Adams on September 22, 2021 as well as brother Everett Berwyn “Bert” Adams and sister Donna “Leany” Smith.

Richard is survived by children Don (Brenda) Adams of Marion, Ron (Angie) Adams of Marion, Doug (Regi) Adams of Texas, Betsy (Joe) Hickman of Marion and Rich (Ashley) Adams of Marion, the children’s mother Margaret Ann (Bradshaw) Snyder; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers Duane of Cleveland, Gerald “Tub” of Florida, Marvin “Popeye” of Marion, sisters Janis Miley of Marion and Carole Wells of Leonardsburg; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard graduated from Waldo High School in 1952 and retired from Whirlpool in 1996. He and his wife had several pets over the years such as a peacock, pot belly pigs, geese, chickens, rabbits, cats, horses and dogs.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Marion Cemetery with Pastor Mike Darling officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to the Marion Dog Pound.
