Quinton James “Jim” Mulvaine of Morral, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 29th, 2025, at Marion General Hospital with wife, a daughter, and a granddaughter by his side.
Jim was born August 3, 1950, in Marion, Ohio to the late Quinton G. and Ruth E. (Hibbett) Mulvaine. He was also preceded in death by father and mother-in-law Harold and Cletis Miller; great grandson Tanner McEliece and 2 brothers-in-law.
On November 4, 1970, Jim married the love of his life, Vickey S. (Miller) Mulvaine. They shared 53 years together filled with love, laughter, and family. They enjoyed vacationing at the Great Smoky Mountains, which they visited often. Jim and Vickey also loved to camp with family, garden, watch old westerns, and spend time with the family that brought them endless joy and happiness.
Jim was a 1968 graduate of Pleasant High School. He supported his family performing various trades in his life; such as railroad, running a small town filling station, foundry maintenance, machining, appliance service, and heating and cooling. He was also a member of the Marion Moose and Eagle Lodges. He was a bass guitar player in numerous bands entertaining at private clubs and fundraising events in Marion and surrounding counties.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Vickey, and children Jason (Dawn) Mulvaine, Travis (Jenny) Mulvaine, both of Marion, Kimberly Mulvaine of Morral, OH, Kelly Mulvaine of Pomeroy, OH, and a granddaughter that he raised like a daughter, Hanna Mulvaine of Morral, OH; as well as 8 grandchildren that he was very proud of; Charity (Codey) McEliece, Israel (Kadee) Young, Megan Mulvaine, Dalton Slavens, Brooklynn, Emily, Brandon, and Hunter Mulvaine; 3 great-grandchildren; Lexie and Garrett McEliece and Israel Young Jr.; sisters Jockelyn Miley and Sharon Daly; 4 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He always had room in his heart for his pup Karli.
The family will receive friends at the Marion Enterprise Baptist Church, 130 Orton St., Marion, OH on Monday June 9, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Affordable Cremation and Funeral Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements and expressions of sympathy can be left online at www.cremationservicesofohio.com. The family will plan a Celebration of Life to be held on Jim’s 75th birthday, August 3, 2025.
