Michael W King

Michael W. King, 68 of Marion passed away on Saturday November 11, 2023 at Kenton Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. Michael was born September 19, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Willie Polk and Katherine (Roberson) King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Denise Collins and Noreen Glover as well as brothers Leonard King and Cyrus Clark.
Michael is survived by children Bryson (Bobby Jo) Faggs, Brecian (Alisha) Faggs, and Latoya Tyler; grandchildren Tyler Bivens and Kaedan, Kamrin, Ava, and Milani Faggs; special friend Carolyn Lavette; siblings Darrell King, Loretha King, Vernita (Gregory) Nolan. Half siblings Sharon Bennett, Linda Glover, Kenya (Amir)May, Tashunda (William)Steward, Tijuanda Hille, Darren(Kristal)Hille, Nodia Harris and Maurice Harris as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael moved to Marion from Chicago when he was 17 years old. He worked construction and was the owner of Special K Concrete. He ran the Marion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp for several years and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Michael enjoyed Western Movies and watching the T.V. show Sanford and Son.
Services will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the New Hope Baptist Church, 603 Euclid Ave., Marion with Pastor Corredon Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
