Max Edwin Barry

Max Edwin Barry, age 69, passed away July 17, 2026, at Marion General Hospital. Max was born to the late Dwight E. Barry and Ellen Joyce (Quay) Barry February 4th, 1957, in Marion, Ohio. Max is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Barry; and daughter, Bobbie Jo Barry.

Max is survived by his lifetime partner in love, Michelle Robinson; children, Julie (Mike) Young, Agen Barry, Misty Barry, and Max Barry II; stepchildren, Charley (Terrie) Blankenship, Laura (Tonya) Blankenship, Darlene (Jay) Stoll, Chet Blankenship, Tad (Ashley) Robinson, and Geanie (Chase) Childers; brother, Mike Barry;13 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.

Max enjoyed spending time with his family. Max had gotten his love for music from his uncle, Vernon Barry, who was like a father figure to Max, they had a very special relationship. Some of his other hobbies included going camping, fishing, playing guitar, and watching the Cleveland Browns.

The family will be receiving friends for a Celebration of Life service at the Hope Family Church, 197 E. Church St. Marion, Ohio, 43302, Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10AM. Friends are welcome to come to the church an hour prior to visit with family. Pastor Dan Owing will be officiating services.
