Luther “Marty” A. Roberts Jr., age 59, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Luther was born to Luther A. Roberts Sr. and Judy Ann (Boggs) Roberts February 19,1966, in Troy, Ohio. Marty has been with Lisa (Kearns) Roberts for 15 years, and they married December 24, 2023. Marty was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Ann Roberts.

Marty is survived by his wife, Lisa Roberts; father, Luther A. Roberts Sr.; step-son, Noah Mceldowney; children he raised like his own, Anthony and Jordan Schuster; siblings, Lois (John) Doherty, Diana (Gary “Gerb” Scheurer) Wells, Angie (Dewayne) Tackett, Julie (Mark) Norris, Jason (Jessika) Roberts, Mikey (Abigail) Roberts, Junior (Jennifer) Suiter, Father and Mother in-law “Poppy” Frank (Karen) Kearns, Brother in-laws John (Kelly) Kearns, Chad (Jennifer) Watkins, Eric (Jenny) Watkins, and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Marty worked as an automotive mechanic all of his life; he started his mechanic career at the Big Island Service Center that his parents operated, and finished working out of his own garage. Marty truly loved the outdoors, and was the epitome of a true sportsman with coon, deer, and ginseng hunting. He was known as the Ginseng man. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking. Marty had a passion for classic cars, some of his favorites being: the Laguna, Chevelle, and Monte Carlo. You could count on him rooting for the New England Patriots come Sunday during football season and enjoyed finding good deals at auctions and flea markets, and even setting up at the flea market with his uncle Cork. He bowled for many years, played pool, enjoyed listening to music, and when a song came on he could tell you the Singer/group, title of the song, and the name of the album, he liked playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. He will be missed by all that knew him.
