Lois E Eden

Lois Ella Bea Eden, age 92 of Nevada, OH passed away June 15, 2025, at her home. She was born January 29, 1933, to the late Roscoe and Sina (Crace) Tackett in Mt. Victory, OH. Lois was married to the late Joseph Eden February 23, 1957.

Lois is survived by children: Cheryl (Don) Perdue, Laura Eden, Rosemary "Dee Dee" (John) Deckling, and Julia (Pete) Reed, grandchildren: Ryan (Mallory) Eden, Paul York, Logan (Candice) Temple, Spencer (Caitee) Temple, and Chrysta DeJean, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild due in July, siblings: Clement (Linda) Tackett and Mary Laughbaum and sister-in-law Mary Tackett, many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandchildren: Shane Mayes, Will Mayes, and Amanda Mayes, and siblings: Dorothy Burns, Ronnie Tackett, Bill Tackett, Franklin Tackett, Norman Tackett, Gloria Laipply, Edith Roberts, Cinda Young, Danny Tackett and Flossie Lacy.

Lois graduated from Tiro High School and was a homemaker. She was a strong, independent woman whose family always came first and foremost.

Growing up the seventh of thirteen children, Lois cherished her family. She was a tomboy who excelled in basketball and softball, and still was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. She met and married Joe Eden in 1956 and married in 1957. They began building a life together that would soon include 4 daughters being raised in their dream home in the country.

Lois was known as a great cook, and no one walked away from her table hungry.

An avid gardener, Lois kept an immaculate garden and yard. Still mowing the massive yard on her John Deere until the age of 88.

Lois and Joe worked hard, built a good life, and enjoyed their time with the family. Lois was "babysitter" to her grandchildren and later, Joe's caregiver and faithful companion until his death in 2021.

Lois was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who embraced time with her girls and the grands; they embracing her in return. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 28, 2025, at the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669, 216 E Mansfield St. Bucyrus, OH 44820, from 2-4 pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.affordablecremationservicesofohio.com.
