Larry John Starcher, age 73, passed away at Marion General Hospital May 3rd, 2026. Larry was born to the late Henry Harmon and Mary Linda (Beck) Starcher on January 10, 1953, in Marion, Ohio. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Harmon “Eddie” Starcher, Homer Starcher, and Bob Starcher; sisters: Roxy Taylor and Marguerite Richard; and his beloved dog, Lady.
Larry is survived by daughter, Ambrosia Gamble; grandchildren, Canyon (Bethany) Gamble, Dawson Gamble, and Bronson Gamble; great-grandchildren, Susan Gamble and Jax Gamble.
Larry served in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, bow hunting, and just being out in nature. Larry often collected antiques and would take trips to the casino every now and again. He made sure to grow strawberries every year, which was something he always kept up on. Larry loved spending time with his family, and will be missed by all that knew him.
The family will be having a private Celebration of Life service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Honor Flight, which allows veterans a chance to visit all the memorials in Arlington Nation Cemetery and Washington D.C. to see the Navy Monument; https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/honor-flight-columbus-donations.
