Larry Frederick “Fred” Smith Sr., age 67, passed at home May 29, 2026, surrounded by family. Fred was born to Larry Smith and Marian (Smith) Smith December 17, 1958, in Marion, Ohio. Fred is preceded in death by his father, Larry Smith; sister, Jacqueline Pack; brother, Scottie. Niece Melissa Pack and Nephew Lance “Cody” Robinson.

Fred is survived by children, Betty Gaona-Nino, Brandy (Adrian) Diaz, and Larry Frederick Smith Jr.; grandson, Jorge Gaona-Smith; Great grandson Sebastian Gaona-Smith siblings, Mark (Joyce) Smith, Dave Smith, Lisa (Todd) Humphrey, Charlotte Smith, Dosha Smith, Samual Smith, Jennifer Smith, Tony Smith. Barbara (Ovidio) Cantù. And Many Nieces and Nephews and cousins Uncle and Aunts.

Fred worked for many years in construction. He had a green thumb and enjoyed growing plants. He was very handy and always kept a clean and tidy home. He enjoyed fishing, liked painting, and spending time with his family and always kept a smile on his face. Fred will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
