In Loving Memory of Larry R Borger
November 21, 1944 – February 20, 2026
Larry R Borger, 81 of Arlington, OH, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. Born in Bluffton, OH on November 21, 1944, to Lauren and Elizabeth (Freed) Borger, who preceded him in death.
On December 28, 1968, he married Virginia (Appleton), and she survives. Together, they have 3 children: James (Tanya), Teresa (Rick) Min, and Paul (Stephanie). Larry’s heart swelled with pride for his granddaughter Megan M (Josh) Frisbie, and his treasured great-grandchildren: Makayla, Shayla, and Karson.
Larry’s family extended beyond his own children. He was a loving stepfather to Pam (Mark) Clark, Bob (Deb) McKee, Fred (Shelley) McKee, and Paula (Steve) Combs, as well as many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who enriched his life.
A man of simple joys, Larry found happiness in the hum of a Lionel train, old cars, and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He coached little league baseball and girls’ softball teams in Arlington and Dunkirk for over 20 years.He was a 1962 graduate of Hardin Northern High School where he was a wonderful drummer.
Larry was an Army Reservist Guard for 10 years, with the 21st Trans Company in Kenton from 1965-1975. He worked for Peerless Gear in Dunkirk for a couple years and Cooper Tire & Rubber in Findlay where he retired after 38 ½ years. He also worked with various funeral homes in the area for over 20 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Living Hope Church, 2515 Heatherwood Dr. Findlay, OH 45840, on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 11:30 am with Pastor Dewey officiating. Visitation starting at 10:00 am.Burial will be at a later date in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Jenera, OH.
