Kerry E Cooper

Jan 15, 1955 — Aug 17, 2026

Marion, OH

Kerry Cooper, age 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 17, 2026. Kerry was born January 15, 1955, in Kenton, Ohio.

A member of the Ridgedale High School Class of 1973, Kerry carried a spirit of warmth and fellowship wherever life led him. He lived in Florida for a time before making his home in Wisconsin, where he enjoyed a long career prior to his retirement from Rollie Winter & Associates. In 2014, he returned to his roots in Ohio. In 2004, Kerry married the love of his life, Jodi, sharing over two decades together.

Kerry was a man who truly never met a stranger. His faith was central to his life, and his love for Jesus shone through in the way he cared for others. Together with Jodi, Kerry served as a foster parent for seven years, opening his home and heart to 54 foster children over the years. An exceptionally talented musician and vocalist, Kerry found immense joy in singing and playing music; whether playing  the guitar, mandolin, banjo, or any instrument he picked up. When he wasn’t sharing his musical talents or casting a line while fishing, especially with his grandson Jacob, he could always be found enthusiastically cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers.

Above all else, Kerry cherished time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, Jodi Cooper; his children, Charlie (Amanda) Young, Carrie Walbrun (Pat Tessen), Jennifer (Mandy) Konkol, and Izabelle Cooper; his grandchildren; his siblings, Charles (Cindy) Cooper, Jim Robinson (husband of his late sister Ellen), Jean Meade, Wanda (Andy) Williams, Michelle (Kenny) Marks, Beth (Robert) Craft, and Crystal (Shaun) Cress; along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Arlene Cooper; his granddaughter, Sarah Young; and his sister, Ellen Robinson
