Kathy Nell Allen

Kathy Nell Allen, age 72, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026. She was born on September 29, 1954, in Harlan, Kentucky, to Frank and Ada Mayfield.

Kathy attended Marion Technical Community College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. A dedicated worker, she spent many years working in several local factories. Outside of work, Kathy was deeply passionate about genealogy, sewing, crafting, and antique collecting. More than anything, Kathy will be remembered for the boundless love she had for her children and grandchildren. Expressing her devotion through her creativity, she would work all year long to ensure she had a beautiful, handmade gift ready for them every Christmas.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ada Mayfield, her beloved spouse, Richard "Al" Allen.

She is survived by her devoted children, Rodney (Rebecca) Geyer and Chad (Jennifer) Geyer; her cherished grandchildren, Jacob (Cindy) Geyer, Rylee Geyer, Conner Geyer, Grant Geyer, and Colton Geyer; and her sisters, Liz Miracle-Cassell, Debbie (Bill) Domka, and Karen (John) Price. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, a wide circle of extended family members and close friends, and her three treasured cats.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kathy's honor.
