Joshua Kyle Criswell, age 42, passed away unexpectedly January 19, 2026 in Marion Ohio. Josh was born February 27, 1983 in Marion Ohio. He is preceded in death by mother, Pamela (Rosebrough) Criswell; half-brother, Dustin Boston; grandparents, Donal and Sylvia Jean Criswell; uncles, Clyde Criswell, Kenneth Alexander, and Jack Gohring Sr.; cousin Charles Rudd Jr.

Josh is survived by children, Kaiden Stone of Fergus Falls Minnesota, Owen Patton of Scotts Hill Tennessee, Jordan Layne of Marion Ohio, and Payton Criswell-Clayton of Alabama; his birth father Cole Boston Marion Ohio, Mike Rosebrough who raised most of his younger years of Marion Ohio and Step Father Steve Jenkins who was a part of his life in his adult years of Prospect Ohio; half-sisters, Jessica Shroats of Marion Ohio and Erica (Jamison) Bryant of Delaware Ohio; step-brother, Jason(Lisa) Rosebrough of Pataskala Ohio; favorite cousin, Karla Alexander of Columbus Ohio; companion, Elizabeth Hamilton of Marion Ohio; close friends, Tiffany Layne of Marion Ohio and Jessi Robbins of Fergus Falls Minnesota; as well as 7 nieces 6 nephews.

Josh was an employee of Graphic Packaging in Marion. Josh loved scary movies, cracking jokes and laughing with friends, and music. He had a charismatic personality you couldn’t help but love. Josh always had a big smile on his face, and loved helping people and would go out of his way for the ones he loved. His children were the most important thing to him and he always lived life to the fullest. Josh had completely turned his life around in the past year, he became a better man, son, father, brother, and friend. Those who knew Josh couldn’t be more proud of the man he became. He touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed.

Celebration of life will be at 1085 W Center St. in Marion Ohio on Friday January 30th from 1-3pm Balloon release will follow. Memorials and donations may be made through Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio. Moments of remembrance may be left online www.cremationservicesofohio.com
