Joan M Smith

Joan Marie Smith, 88, of Morral, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. Born on December 10, 1936, in Marion, Ohio, Joan spent her life in the warmth of family.

Joan graduated from Harding High School and was known for her quiet and private nature. Despite her reserved demeanor, she cherished the company of her loved ones and enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home.

Joan is survived by her siblings Pat Rice, Shirley Geer, and Jim Simpkins. She is also survived by her children Teresa Williams (Dan), Tammy Smith, Robert Smith, Arthur Millisor (Jennifer), Herbie Burke (Sherri), Sally Bane, and Candy Bice. Her granddaughter Chelsea Smith, who was like a daughter to her, along with many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, adored her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Smith, whom she married on June 27, 1969, her daughter Bobbie Smith, brother Donald Millisor Jr., sister Kathy Williams, and her parents Donald R. Millisor Sr. and Martha L. Brady.

Joan had a passion for reading, solving puzzles, and tending to her rose bushes. She also enjoyed watching scary movies, which brought her much joy.

A private ceremony for immediate family will be held at a later date.

Joan will be remembered for her kindness, love, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.
