Gina L. Hoch, age 65, of Marion, Ohio passed away at her home surrounded by her family on January 18, 2024 in Marion, Ohio. Gina was born 08/30/1958 to the late Nancy Ridenour and Eugene Hankison, in Lancaster, Ohio. She will be buried with her beloved dog, Nina, who also recently passed away.
Gina was the widow of Timothy W. Hoch, who preceded her in death in 2004. She then found love again and married Dennis Grooms of Marion.
She was passionate about gardening and her many, many, many flowers in her yard and in her home. Another passion of hers was having a pond anywhere she lived. In this pond there would always be a few koi fish. She was steadfast in her faith. She was an avid gnome collector. Any gnome was good for her. Gina, her sister and her nieces may have been many miles apart but they kept in touch regularly through Marco Polo. They shared their lives, joys and sorrow with each other. Another joy in her life was all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. They loved Grammy/GiGi so much.
She formerly worked at Honda in Marysville for over 20 years. She then took courses to become a Medical Biller. She deeply enjoyed working with everyone at OhioHealth as a Medical Biller.
Gina will be forever missed by her family and friends.
Surviving her are her husband, Dennis Grooms and her baby, Delilah, her dog, of Marion, her children, Joanna Hoch of Marion, Timothy Hoch II of Delaware, Steven (Bry) Hoch and Michael (Michelle) Hoch, Amber Hoch all of Marion, Chelsea (Jacob) Breedon and Doug Grooms, Patrick Groom of Marysville, grandchildren, Karena (Chris) Luikart, Jordyn (Kelsey) Gary, Jocelynn (Andrew) Lumberson, Jordan Hoch, Katie (Daniel) Abrams, Trey Hall, Zoe Hoch, Hayden Hoch, Kynleigh Hoch, Kinsley Hoch, Emily Hoch, Lilly Grooms, Riley Zinn, Deacon and Gatlin Breedon. Great grandchildren, Anna Luikart, Scarlett Gary, Everleigh Lumberson, and Olivia Abrams all of Marion,. Also surviving her are her siblings, Gary (Kris) Hankison of Zanesville, Ohio, Karla (Chris) Tussing of Surprise, Arizona, Nelson Hankison of Marion, Ohio. She is also survived by her cat Squishy. And many nieces and nephews and friends.
