Edwin A. “Eddie” “Buzz” Keirns age 73 of Marion, died as a result of an auto accident on Mar. 4, 2018. He was born Dec. 17, 1944 in Galion to Arthur and Gladys (Fultz) Keirns. Buzz was married almost 40 years to Susie (Dripps) Keirns, she survives in Marion.
His life will be remembered by his wife and children Scott (Stephanie) Keirns, Jill (Eric) Troiano, Jodi (Bob) Verity, Shane (Candice) Keirns, grandchildren Ashley (Cody) Yawn, Brittany Keirns, Chayce Verity, Ally Coleman, Korey Keirns, Kari Verity, Nicole Verity, Brayden Keirns, Olivia Keirns, Camden Keirns, Michael Keirns, a great granddaughter Kali Coleman, siblings Ferol (Ken) Hall, Jan (Jerry) Montee, Terry (Nancy) Keirns, sisters-in-law Linda (Les) Miller and Becky (Dripps) Roberts, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Keirns is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Kristi, father and mother-in-law Russell and Bonnie Dripps.
Mr. Keirns graduated from Marion Harding High School and retired from the Marion Post Office after 37 years. He enjoyed attending the Forward Sunday School at Trinity Baptist Church. Buzz was an avid hunter and fisherman and a Michigan football fan. He enjoyed vacations in Hessel, MI every summer with his family and he loved his cat Gizzy. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Friends and family may honor Buzz's life on Sat. Mar. 24, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. A memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jim Vanmeter officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Forward Sunday School Class, Marion County Humane Society or Wyandot County Sportsman Club Fishing Derby.
