Edgar Williams was born on June 16, 1950, to Geneva Coleman and Joe Williams in Beaufort, South Carolina. He passed from this life to eternal life on September 7, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved wife and twin sister, Edna Creagh.
in 1981, Edgar moved to Ohio. A year later, he met his beautiful future wife, Serilla Phinisee, whom he later married on March 2, 1996. They ultimately enjoyed over 43 years together. Edgar was a loving stepfather to their children: Carolyn Phinisee, Lamont Creagh, and Nicole Creagh.
Edgar worked for Glen Gary Brick Yard for 23 years until he retired. He then decided to help his niece and nephew build their business, Getwell Transport, where he became a driver.
Edgar was a very dedicated driver who made an impression on everyone he encountered. He truly enjoyed transporting the elderly. He loved fishing, working on cars, and especially spending quality time with his wife Serilla. Together they enjoyed drives through the countryside and thrift store shopping.
If you knew Edgar, you know he could make you laugh without even trying. His infectious laugh and loud talking made him a true joy to be around. He will be dearly missed.
On August 14th at 2:49 pm., Edgar was presented with the good news of the gospel by his niece Simona Carr, great nephew Jalil Barnes, and twin sister Edna Creagh. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and repented all of his sins. What a joyous occasion that was.
