David Lee Smelser

David Lee Smelser, age 53 of Marion, OH passed away April 5, 2026, at his home. He was born February 12, 1973, to the late James R and Iva (Bridenstine) Smelser in Marion.

David is survived by daughter Olivia Smelser, granddaughter Ezra Copeland, sisters: Marilyn Pelfrey, Debbie Smelser, Linda Smelser, and Carol Smith, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Smelser.

David worked in a detailing shop in the automotive industry. He loved fishing, watching TV (I.D. channel; Bigfoot, Supernatural, ...), and cars. David enjoyed music and was very compassionate towards animals.
