David Lee Sisson

Feb 2, 1963 — Jun 24, 2026

Marion

David Lee Sisson, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Marion, surrounded by the love of his family on June 24, 2026, at 10:26 am. David was born on February 2, 1963, to the late John and Wilma (LeMasters) Sisson.

From an early age, David was always tinkering with things and always had a knack for fixing them. David spent many years as a proud, skilled auto mechanic, as he enjoyed nothing more than working on cars. He always had a passion for motorcycles and was a very proud owner of his beloved Harley Davidson bike. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, David will always be remembered to everyone who met him as the guy always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. David's door was always open to everyone and he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Though a  man of few words, David had a way of saying exactly what needed to be said, and those fortunate enough to know him understood the depth of his love and loyalty.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife Tammy Lynn Sisson, his parents John and Wilma Sisson, his brother Johnny Sisson, and father-in-law Ronald Murphy. Left to cherish David's love and memory are his sons: JR (Jackie) Crabtree and Jamie (Katie) Sisson, his cherished grandchildren: Rayanne Redman, Jeremy Crabtree, Kaylee Crabtree, Liam Sisson, and Gracie Sisson, loving brother Brian (Kim) Sisson, sister-in-law Sun Cha Sisson, nieces and nephews: Derek (Jamie) French, Cody Sisson, Ashley (Brandon) Fields, Joshua (Almendra) Sisson, Angela Sisson, Isaiah Sisson, and Jeremy Sisson. Also surviving is his mother-in-law Maxine (Carl) McFarland, sisters-in-law: Terina and Tina, brother-in-law Timmy, a loving extended family and friends, as well as his faithful and beloved dog Ozzy.

If you knew David, there was never a time you saw him without a Mountain Dew and a cigarette in hand. Always taking pride in his appearance, it was a rare sight to see David without his hair perfectly combed or pulled back-a trait his niece Ashley and nephew Cody lovingly teased him about throughout the years. David always had a joke ready and never missed an opportunity to lovingly pick on those around him. He always had a quick, witty comeback for everything and anything. David's laughter, teasing, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that David is reunited with those who went before him and that the memories we share will remain forever in our hearts.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.affordablecremationservicesofohio.com.
