David Allen Luyster

David Allen Luyster, age 69 of Marion, OH passed away May 28, 2026, at Presidential Post Acute Nursing Home in Marion. He was born August 2, 1956, to the late Elmer and Ola Belle (Sharrock) Luyster in Cambridge, OH. 

David is survived by children: Jaimie (David) Courtney of Russells Point, OH, David Luyster Jr. of Marion, and Laura (Esbin) Pineda of Marion, grandchildren: Sarah Samples, Antonio Pineda, Elena Pineda, DeMarkis Pineda, Ryan McCurry, and Katie McCurry, great-grandchildren: Linkin Herter and Ariella Samples, and brothers: Charles (Dottie) Luyster of Marion and James Luyster of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Hoelscher, and brother John Luyster.

David graduated from Cambridge High School and worked for over 20 years at Buckeye Industrial Services. He was a member of the Marion Moose Lodge #889, and a lifetime member of Eagles Lodge #337. David enjoyed collecting antiques (especially bottles and glass), spending time with his dog Bella, watching WWE wrestling, and sitting on his front porch talking with friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marion Historical Society. Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
