Dan L. Brammer

Dan L. Brammer, 68 of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Dan was born on August 17, 1958, in Marion, to the late William and Opal (Schmidt) Brammer.

Gifted and hardworking, Dan could fix nearly anything. He worked as a brake specialist for CA Jones Trucking Co. and later as a heavy equipment mechanic for International Mill Service. After retiring from Star Leasing, he founded L.D. Property Services, specializing in drywall.

Dan enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially camping, boating at East Harbor, and taking his family to Port Clinton aboard The Blue Fin and to Rock 86. He found peace in the woods and especially cherished hunting with those he loved.

Dan’s greatest legacy was the love he gave his family and the memories he created with them. He will be remembered for his generous heart, steady hands, willingness to help, and the ability to make or repair anything. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loved one whose presence brought strength, comfort, and joy to those around him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Linda (Ashba) Brammer; his children, Susan (Fred) Holt, Jason Brammer, Nathan (Melissa) Brammer; his honorary daughter, Helena Iorio; his grandchildren, Makensie (Dylan) Brancamp, Ryan Coolbaugh, Nayomi Brammer, Skyla Brammer, Teagan Brammer and Lydia Baker: and his great-grandsons, Parker and Jaxsten Brancamp, all of Marion.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws; nephew, Jerry Brammer Jr; and niece, Angela Ballard.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Tranquility Hospice team for providing Dan with exceptional care, with special appreciation to Anna, Sherri, and Kelly.

No services will be held at this time. The family will honor Dan’s life with a celebration of life at a later date. Though deeply missed, Dan’s love, laughter, and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
