Creta "Diane" O'Dell

Creta “Diane” O'Dell, 71, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on August 21, 1955, to Cecil and Flora (Rine) Beach and was raised by Thelma and Ralph Beach.

Diane was the beloved wife of the late Roger Dean O'Dell. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dean O'Dell; her daughter, Melissa O'Dell; her parents, Cecil and Flora Beach; and her siblings, Ralph Beach, John Beach, and Pam Avery.

She is survived by her son, Douglas (Jamie) O'Dell; fiance Ricky Knuckles; brothers, Spencer Beach and Jim Beach; sister, Sue Ervin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.
