Carol Ann Thompson

Carol Ann Thompson, age 73 of La Rue, OH passed away October 10, 2026, at Marion General Hospital. She was born October 10, 1953, to the late Elbon and Gladys (Smyers) Tucker in Barnsville, OH. Carol was married July 4, 1973, to Jim Thompson who survives.

Carol is survived by her husband, son Ryan (Rachel) Thompson of Leesville, grandchildren: Tessa (Jordan) Burns, Aaron (Nicole) Thompson, Emma Callahan, Ryan Jr. Thompson, and Lilly Thompson, great-grandchildren: Jaden Burns and Colton Burns. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pamela Murphy, and brother Tommy Tucker.

Carol graduated high school then earned a certification as a paramedic; she worked throughout the Marion area. Carol was caretaker for her parents before they passed, she was proud of managing their home on a military base while her husband served their country (daycare provider), and she loved animals and loved to shop (QVC and Amazon).
