Bonnie Lee Bowen

Bonnie L. Bowen, 78 of Marion passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2026, at Marion General Hospital. Bonnie was born on December 22, 1947, in Urbana, OH to the late Leroy Charles and Cornnez (Peronne) Maxam. She was first married to Larry R. Ward on July 22, 1965, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2015. Her second marriage was for 22 years to Tommie Eugene Bowen who preceded her in death on April 1, 2014. She was also preceded in death by grandson Aaron Schilling and brother Leroy Maxam.

Bonnie is survived by daughter Kim (James) Schilling of Galion; son Larry (Anna) Ward Jr. of North Carolina; grandchildren Rusty (Tami) Schilling of Marion and Heather Schilling of Tiffin; great grandchildren Katie and Jared; brother Richard Maxam of Alabama and 2 half sisters Sandy Biggness and Ruthie Wendt both of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was a graduate of Triad High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo as well as dancing and fishing. She formerly was an auctioneer and attended festivals with a portable Rockwall. Most of all Bonnie enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
