Benny G Forrider

Benny G. Forrider, 79 of Marion, OH passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2026, at home in Marion. Benny was born July 13, 1946, in Marion to the late Gerald J. and Margaret C. (Rentschler) Forrider. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life Nancy (Christian) Forrider in October 2016, daughter Penny Forrider; an infant daughter Trina Lynn, brothers Thomas Ray “Rabbit” Forrider and Gerald Forrider Jr., and sister Patricia Wren. Benny was formerly married to Marie Taylor and Donna Hall.

Benny is survived by children April Forrider, Catherine (Barry Clayton) Forrider, and Ben Forrider II all of Marion, and Shelby Bell of Mansfield; 8 grandchildren, Jordan Shivers, Kaylyn Bell, Taylor and lacey Clayton, Serenity, Kayleen Fleming, Morgan Forrider and Riley Forrider; step children Kenneth L. Shannon, Monroe, Danny, and Lana; as well as sister Lisa (Todd) Forrider Wallace of Marion.

Benny began working at Quaker Oats in 1963 until their closing in 1991. He last worked at BAJA Boats until they closed. Benny was active in the Marion Racing Pigeon Club and was great at autobody and did many restorations. He had a great sense of humor and always had a nickname for everyone. Benny also loved his animals very much.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Central Christian Church, 421 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, with Pastor Mike Darling officiating; burial will follow at Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Affordable Cremation and Funeral Services of Ohio in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
