Abdul Rahman Deen aka James Farmer Jr. “June”, age 77, passed away peacefully September 28, 2026, at Presidential Post Acute of Marion Ohio. June was born to the late James Farmer Sr. and Geneva (Sorrells) Farmer October 16, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio. June was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Sheila Farmer, Shirley Coleman, Gary Farmer, and Terrance “T” Farmer.
June is survived by his wife, Benita Jean Farmer; daughter, Shana Dianne Farmer; grandson, Shaahid Omari Thomas; siblings, Stanley Farmer, Karen Godfrey, Eva Farmer, and Kimberly Farmer; as well as several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
June was an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He loved watching football and basketball games, collegiate and professional. His favorite teams to root for were the San Francisco 49’ers, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
June loved listening to old school music, jazz, and especially Motown artists. The Temptations were his favorite music group. His favorite song of all time was "My Girl", and he knew every move and dance step they did, and taught his grandson. We referred to him as "the missing 6th member". He truly enjoyed living life on his terms, and did just that.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at a later date. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.cremationservicesofohio.com.
